Professional Summary
Tao will be greeting you as you work into his office in the Boggs Building 3-85. He will work as a Research Engineer II within the Consortium for Enabling Technologies and Innovation (ETI) led by Dr. Anna Erickson. Tao will support and assist Dr. Erickson in the overall management, execution and operations of the ETI Consortium as well as the group R&D activities, with the responsibilities of: keeping tracking research progress, generating periodic reports (monthly, quarterly and annual) to sponsors, establishing and updating the website content, communicating with students & faculty at lab visits, keeping track of equipment purchase, supporting lab work, developing new technologies, publishing & presenting research findings, mentoring students, directing the day-to-day activities as needed for the Laboratory for Advanced Nuclear Nonproliferation and Safety (LANNS). Tao received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and M.S. in Power Machinery & Engineering from Tianjin University in China, and his PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia. Prior to joining ME School, Tao worked as a Research Scientist at ECE School since 2011. He loves working with inspiring faculty and next-generation talents at Georgia Tech.
