Class of 1969 Teaching Fellows are early career professionals who want to develop their full teaching potential. Dr. Thomas’ selection for this honor is a tribute to her dedication to improving student learning — there is only one group of Class of 1969 Teaching Fellows selected each year and only a small group of assistant professors at Georgia Tech are invited to participate annually.
During the Fall semester of Dr. Thomas’ participation in the program, the Teaching Fellows will explore various aspects of teaching and learning in weekly seminarsand individual consultations. During the Spring semester, the Teaching Fellows will undertake a project to improve student leaning in one of their courses and a $1,000 grant will be made available to support the project.
Participating in the Class of 1969 Teaching Fellows program will provide Dr. Thomas with the foundation for a lifetime of professional growth in teaching.
